Introduction

This article is written to inform you about a series of judgments the Lord Jesus Christ will cause to fall upon the earth shortly, to bring people to repentance and salvation, purify their hearts, and strengthen their faith in him. The judgments, likened to the Exodus plagues in Moses’ days, will start with three days of physical and spiritual darkness, which will be preceded by clear warning signs. These warning signs include worldwide earthquakes, ominous red skies, and auroras (dazzling, colorful lights) which will be visible for 2 up to 48 hours, depending on where you live. Then, thick and oppressive darkness will fall at noontime and will last for 72 hours, or three full days. During this time, demons will be released to wander the earth; they are licensed to harm, possess, and kill anyone left outside the Lord’s protection.

To secure your household’s spiritual and physical well-being during the three days of darkness, watch for and heed the warning signs, and prepare yourself spiritually and physically beforehand. Wholeheartedly repent of your sins, seek the Lord Jesus for salvation and protection, and submit your life fully to him, if you haven’t yet. It is prudent to ensure your home is adequately stocked with provisions beforehand (water, food, medicine, etc.). Ensure you can fully sustain your household for at least three days. Encourage others to do likewise. You can find salvation and warfare prayers and emergency preparedness resources at the end of this article.

As soon as you discern the warning signs, gather your loved ones (including others you may invite), and your pets and get indoors before the darkness falls. Stay indoors with your windows and doors locked until the darkness is fully lifted and daylight returns. Stay in prayer and read your Bible. Ignore any strange sounds coming from outside and familiar-sounding voices you or others in your household may hear during the time of darkness darkness; these are demons (known as ‘familiar spirits’) seeking entry, craftily posing as people’s loved ones.

Impact by faith

The three days of darkness will impact people in different ways, by the measure of their faith, love, and obedience to the Lord Jesus. A summary of the impact of the days of darkness for the different groups is outlined here. A more detailed description with Scripture references is found later in the article.

  • Faithful believers will be supernaturally protected and provided for, as they continue to abide in Christ and remain indoors with their access ways closed. They will have normal functioning lights and are expected to be taken to heaven at the closing of the three days of darkness. This departure is known as the worldwide rapture of the faithful. Children and feeble minded worldwide will also be supernaturally protected; they are expected to be taken to heaven at the onset of the falling darkness, before demons are released and before the worldwide departure of the faithful.
  • Lukewarm believers – who lack faith, love, and obedience – will receive a measure of spiritual protection. They can make use of less powerful light sources such as candles, oil lamps etc. they have on hand. The lack of more powerful energy sources will signal to them they need to wholeheartedly repent and submit themselves to the Lord in areas they have not yet. They will be safeguarded from demonic forces roaming outside, IF they remain indoors with their doors and windows closed until the darkness is fully lifted and prayerfully seek the Lord, trust, and obey him.
  • For the unsaved, who reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, who remain in willful sin, rebellion, and disobedience, the three days of darkness will be fully dark and spiritually oppressive inside their homes. They will have no functioning light source. If they either open their access-ways or venture outside, they will be physically and spiritually threatened by the demonic entities seeking to harm, possess, and devour anyone outside the Lord’s protection. The darkness and oppression inside their homes and hearts will be lifted, if they wholeheartedly repent and turn to the Lord, trust, and obey him.

Personal visitation

During the three days of darkness, it is expected the Lord will personally visit each lukewarm and unsaved person and give them an opportunity to repent, receive salvation, and fully submit to him (Luke 1:78, Isaiah 9:2). This expectation is based on the patterns in the lives of Jonah and Paul who were likewise visited by the Lord during their three days of darkness. We also see parallels of this visitation in Hosea 2:14 and Ezekiel 20:35. If lukewarm and unsaved people remain hard-hearted and refuse to repent though – even after the Lord’s visitation – a time of great sorrow and unprecedented trials and tribulations will follow to severely discipline and chastise them, as referenced in Matthew 24:5-14 and Revelation 6-22. These judgments are explained later in this article.

1. Three main groups at the onset of judgment

A more detailed look at the impact of the three days of darkness, with Scripture references

As mentioned in the introduction, we can distinguish three main groups of people at the onset of the end times judgments. They will be impacted by the measure of their faith, love and obedience to the Lord (Galatians 6:7-9):

  • faithful followers of Jesus Christ,
  • lukewarm believers (who lack faith, love, and obedience),
  • the unsaved (who do not acknowledge or follow the Lord).

Clothed in white (wrinkle-free and spotless) garments of salvation, gifted by grace through faith (Revelation 19:8, Ecclesiastes 9:8, Ephesians 5:27)

The Lord’s faithful followers will abide in his full protection and provision as they continue to love, trust, and obey him (Psalm 51:17, Psalm 91, Joel 2:12-13, Isaiah 26:20, John 8:12, 2 Samuel 22:29). The Lord will supernaturally act on their behalf, which will serve as a great comfort to them and their households, and as a testimony of his sovereignty and faithfulness to others who do not fully abide in him (Deuteronomy 7:7-16).

The majority of faithful believers, also known as overcomers in Christ, will be present on earth at the onset of the judgments, to shine their light amidst the spiritual and physical darkness, as they intercede for and minister to others (Isaiah 60:1-2, Hebrews 10:24-25, Romans 13:12, Matthew 5:16, Philippians 2:15, 1 John 3:1-2, Daniel 12:3, Isaiah 42:6-9). They mirror the set apart Israelites in Goshen (Goshen means ‘drawing near’) prior to the Exodus, who trusted and obeyed God and were therefore exempt from the judgments falling both upon Egypt (a type of the world, the unsaved) as well as upon disobedient Israelites and the unsaved multitude (Romans 13:12, Matthew 25:6-7, and Isaiah 60:1-2.

The homes of the faithful will be safeguarded and their provisions will be secured supernaturally. These are the faithful servants or ‘wise virgins’ that are ‘accounted worthy to escape’ the judgments that will befall the world afterward (Luke 21:36, II Thessalonians 1:4-5, 10-11).

God will take his elect and the innocent first

I describe the rapture of the innocent in Christ in more detail in this article on my Dutch website (a translation widget is provided).

Certain chosen, faithful believers (also known as ‘the elect’ per Matthew 24 and Isaiah 45, and as the ‘man child’ in Isaiah 66:7-9 and Revelation 12:5a and immortal witnesses in Revelation 14:1-5) will be taken from the earth at the onset of the three days of darkness, which will be witnessed by others (Enoch 50:1-2). A precedent of this pattern is found in the rapture of Elijah, witnessed by his mantle bearer Elisha and 50 prophets standing at a distance (2 Kings 2:1-7). The chosen believers will be transfigured (receive immortal bodies, like Christ’s after his resurrection), supernaturally equipped and trained to assist the Lord in the end times harvest of souls (60:1-2). This subgroup of ‘elect faithful’ will do great exploits (Daniel 11:32, Psalm 18) and will perform the ‘greater works’ Scripture speaks about in John 14:12-13, Habakkuk 2:14, Haggai 2:9, and Malachi 3:16-18. They will be supernaturally empowered and able to move around the earth in an instant without the physical restrictions regular people have. The enemy will have no power over them.

The innocent in Christ worldwide (children up to 19 and the feeble minded who cannot make a decision for Christ) are expected to be taken to heaven at the onset of the three days darkness, before any demons are released to roam the earth, to be safeguarded from them (Isaiah 49:22-23). This early departure of the innocent is not expected by most (including faithful believers) and unless people are Biblically informed, remaining parents will understandably be very distraught and perplexed, even panicked if they lack knowledge and understanding concerning the whereabouts and wellbeing of their loved ones. The Lord assures us by the Scriptures that the innocent are perfectly safe with him and lovingly cared for. In heaven, they await the reunification with their (to be) saved family members enduring in faith.

Update 7/24 I have written a comprehensive article on this topic, which you can read and download here:

The majority of faithful believers will remain on earth at this time. So, if faithful believers witness a faithful family member, a child or feeble minded loved one supernaturally disappear at the onset of the three days of darkness, they need not fear. Not for their loved one’s safety and wellbeing, nor for themselves (for thinking they may have missed the worldwide departure, for instance, which is not the case). They are instructed to remain indoors and not venture outside looking for those who disappeared, and they are assured to be reunited with them shortly. The remaining faithful are expected to be taken to heaven shortly afterward in the worldwide departure of all overcomers in Christ, also known as the first group-harvest or rapture (Luke 12:37-48, Revelation 3:12, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Daniel 12:1, Luke 21:36, Hosea 6:2, Ezekiel 34:11-13). The third day restoration patterns in Genesis 1:13, Exodus 19:1, Hosea 6:2, and 1 Corinthians 15:4 may direct us to the third day of darkness.

Paul (who was himself saved during three days of darkness/blindness which feel at noontime, when the Lord personally visited him in his hard-hearted state) assures his audience – who were afraid at the time that they had missed the first worldwide departure – that those who are alive and remain will be taken to heaven, after the dead in Christ are caught up:

1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up (Strong’s 726 ‘harpazĆ³’) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Lord will resurrect the ‘dead in Christ’ and translate ‘the living in Christ’, both Jew and gentile made one in Him (1 Corinthians 1:25, Ephesians 2:15, Galatians 3:28), symbolized by the two loaves at Pentecost. Partaking in this worldwide departure to heaven – the event known as the worldwide rapture or harpazĆ³ – is reserved for overcomers in Christ, as Jesus stated in his letters to the seven churches (Revelation 1-3) and affirmed in Malachi 3:17 and Luke 21:36. They will have completed their earthly time of refinement, sanctification and purification (I John 3:2-3, I Corinthians 11:32-33, Luke 18:1-8).

Recommendations to the faithful

Like the obedient Israelites of old, faithful believers are called to abide in the Lord’s peace, shine his light, intercede for one another, be strong and courageous, and not give in to fear, but remain sound-minded and persevere (II Timothy 1:7, Proverbs 29:25, Joshua 1:9, Psalm 56:3, John 14:27, Isaiah 43:1).

Called to remain spiritually ready for the Lord’s coming, the faithful are instructed to keep their given garments of salvation in a spotless and wrinkle-free condition (II Peter 3:13-14). The Lord has gifted his faithful beautiful adornments to complete their spiritual wedding attire, reflective of the spiritual gifts and fruits believers need to guard and cultivate carefully. He has shown his faithful the way to obtain eternal crowns in service of him.

We therefor examine ourselves by the Spirit and the Word daily, keep our Ephesians spiritual armor on at all times, remain watchful and vigilant, and ensure our spiritual houses are kept in order. We are called to walk in humility and quickly repent from sin as the Holy Spirit prompts us – especially of unforgiveness, bitterness, dishonesty, jealousy and hatred – for these are considered spots on our given wedding garments that disqualify us from entering heaven (I John 2:27, Revelation 2-3, Matthew 6:12-14).

Subgroups of faithful believers

As indicated in the early harvest sequence, the main group of faithful believers consists of several subgroups, which differ in commission and authority. They are all secured and provided for during the days of darkness. We find references to the different groups of faithful believers in Scripture, for instance in Isaiah 13:3. Jesus also speaks about different groups of servants, distinguished by their spiritual maturity and fruitfulness of either a 30-, 60-, or 100-fold yield (Matthew 13:8-23 and Mark 4:8-20), which will be reflected in their rewards as well (Matthew 16:27, Revelation 3:11, 22:12). Among the Lord’s disciples, we also recognize different levels of intimacy and authority (John 13:25, Matthew 17:1, Matthew 26:37, John 20:11-18, Luke 5:4-11). In like manner, the apostle Paul teaches us about the correlation between a believer’s faithfulness and corresponding eternal spiritual rewards, an expression of personal accountability before the Lord (1 Corinthians 3:11-15, Colossians 3:22-24, and Philippians 3:8, 10, and 14).

In this prophetic word, the different groups of faithful believers are also distinguished, to further illustrate the partition of the faithful.

Spotted and wrinkled garments of salvation (Jude 1:12 and 1:23, Ephesians 5:27, 2 Peter 2:13)

Lukewarm believers – who lack love, faith and obedience at the onset of the end times judgments – will receive a measure of spiritual protection and provisions in accordance with their faith (Proverbs 14:14, Jeremiah 2:19, Matthew 6:24). This means they will not have electricity in their homes during the three days of darkness, but will have to rely on weaker, natural light sources (candles, oil lamps etc they may have on hand). The onset of the three days of darkness will likely overtake them and rudely awake them from their spiritual slumber (Luke 21:31-35, 1 Thessalonians 5:3-6), their waywardness (Jeremiah 2:19, 3:6-11) and their disobedience (Galatians 5:16-21, Jonah 2).

Confronted with the consequences of their spiritual unpreparedness, they will be prompted to wholeheartedly turn back to the Lord and choose to fully trust and obey him in areas where they were lacking (Joel 2:12-18). This purification and sanctification process is referred to in Scripture as ‘having to buy oil for their dwindling or darkened lamps’ (Matthew 25:1-13) and ‘cleansing their soiled wedding garments’. This means they have to invest their hearts, minds, time and effort fully, to be sanctified and purified and develop enduring faith, so they are spiritually ready to stand before the Lord upon his next coming (Matthew 5:16 & 25:8-10, Isaiah 55:1-7, Revelation 3:18-19).

To lukewarm believers, the ominous warning signs and the Lord’s coming to take his elect harvest workers and the innocent in Christ to heaven at the onset of the supernatural darkness, will likely take them by complete surprise, if not, leave in them in perplexity and distress. They will lack Biblical understanding and direction at this time. Scripture relays that servants who are not prayerfully watching and waiting for the Lord, will be caught unaware. Rudely awakened by the rapidly unfolding supernatural events, lukewarm believers will be given opportunity to cry out to the Lord, as he will beckon them to wholeheartedly repent and fully submit their lives to him, so they can be accounted worthy to be taken to heaven in the first, worldwide departure of overcomers as well (Luke 21:35-36, Joel 2:12-19).

Instructions for lukewarm believers

For lukewarm believers the end times judgment will form a time of trials, testing and faithful endurance, to cause them to sincerely repent, wholeheartedly turn back to the Lord, and submit their lives fully unto him, after which the respective plague impact will subside and their protection and provision will be restored (Matthew 25:1-10, Revelation 3:18, Joel 2:12-18). It will be a time of sanctification and refinement, when people’s spiritual condition will become apparent to themselves and to others, prompting them to seek the Spirit and the Word in all earnest, dedicate themselves to be an overcomer in Christ, and ready themselves spiritually for the Lord’s coming (Mark 13:33-37, 1 John 3:2-3, II Peter 3:13-14, Joel 2:12-18). This also applies those in leadership whom the Lord considers lukewarm.

The (initially) disobedient Israelites and undisciplined multitude during the first Exodus plague sequence, serve as an example for these lukewarm believers. They are referred to as ‘foolish virgins’ in Matthew 24-25 and as ‘compromising and disobedient servants’ in Jesus’ letters to the seven churches. We can discern these foolish ones are indeed believers as each are called servants and have a measure of oil (the indwelling Holy Spirit) at the beginning of their watch. They have neglected watching prayerfully and vigilantly for the Lord’s return and prepare themselves accordingly, due to entanglements with sin, idolatry and/or giving priority to self-will and worldly matters.

Those who refuse to repent

If lukewarm believers refuse to wholeheartedly repent, trust, and obey the Lord during the three days of darkness, they run the risk of ‘being cut asunder’. This means they can find themselves left behind at the first, worldwide departure. Scripture speaks about this consequence in Luke 12:46-48 as well as in Matthew 24:51 and 25:10 and Deuteronomy 28. The word ā€œasunderā€ implies being divided from the faithful, to be chastised and severely disciplined along with unbelievers, to develop enduring faith amidst tribulation judgment.

Unrepentant believers, who break the teachings of God willfully and move others to do likewise, are called ‘workers of iniquity’ per Matthew 7:22-23, akin to ‘evil servants’ in Matthew 24:48, who lack watchful vigilance, mock God’s prophecies and scorn their brethren. They bring forth works of darkness (John 3:20, Ephesians 5:11, Romans 13:13), and unless they repent and turn, they run the risk of being cast into ā€˜outer darknessā€™ and tribulation judgment (Matthew 8:11-12, Luke 13:27-28, Deuteronomy 28) and suffer severe loss of eternal rewards (I Corinthians 3:13-15). The rebellious and hardhearted among the unrepentant will need the most refining (heat), and will thus be thrown into the intensity of the tribulation scorchings before they can be harvested; these are associated with the oppressing forces within the assembly of Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-28).

Spiritually naked, not (yet) dressed in garments of salvation (Isaiah 47:3, Revelation 16:15)

Unsaved people and wicked believers (Matthew 25:26) who are in hard hearted rebellion against the Lord, will be overtaken and afflicted by the ensnaring judgments. They will find themselves spiritually unprepared and unequipped to deal with the impact of the supernatural plagues, until they humble themselves and wholeheartedly repent, trust, and obey the Lord. He will show each person their spiritual condition and their both desperate and urgent need to seek him for (true) salvation, spiritual and physical security and provision (Matthew 18:11-14, Mark 16:16).

People’s ungodly sources of power, security, and provision will crumble and fail them as the judgments unfold, those in leadership included. Powerful witnessing, intercession, strong discipline and – if need be – severe judgment will follow, if they remain unrepentant. The increase in severity of the judgments is necessary for those who continue to harden their hearts against the Lord, his gospel of salvation and against his people, like in the case of Pharaoh and his magicians during the original Exodus. They remained prideful and in willful disbelief, despite the grace and time bestowed to them to repent and turn. Like then, the outworking of the full measure of the end times plagues will be required to humble and touch the most hardened hearts among them.

They are likely to have completely disregarded his merciful and gentle beckoning and extensive warnings preceding his coming in judgment (Romans 1:24-28). Man likes to imagine that he is in control of his own life and able to indulge in sin, rebellion, and idolatry, presuming he can do what he pleases without any outside accountability or repercussions. The more prideful and powerful the man, the stronger this sense of presumed independence and defiance of Jesus as the only Savior and Lord.

Pharaoh in the time of Moses was Assyrian (Exodus 1:8, Isaiah 52:4), a type of the end times antichrist.

Instructions for the unsaved

As the end times judgment unfold, the unsaved – including those placed in positions of worldly and false religious authority – will be called to repent and turn back to the Lord by powerful witnesses, coupled with the Lord’s strong arm of judgment (Romans 2:5-11, 1 Hebrews 3:15, Proverbs 22:29, Revelation 7 and 14). In the Lord’s mercy, the hard hearted and unsaved will be warned, interceded for and given a last window of time to repent and turn back to him during the three days of darkness, before his wrath (the wrath of the Lamb, the first part of the tribulation judgments) is poured out in all earnest. This means that if the unsaved wholeheartedly repent, ask the Lord for salvation and submit their lives fully unto him, they can be accounted worthy to be taken in the worldwide departure as a faithful believer.

Those with hardened hearts

Recall, how Moses granted ample opportunity to Pharaoh and his magicians to be responsive (Exodus 9:28 and 10:18). We read in the first Exodus account that God foreknew the entire series of plagues would be necessary to breng them to surrender (Exodus 4). While Pharaoh repented superficially, he lacked the true remorse, fear of the Lord and contriteness of heart in order to wholeheartedly change his heart and mind and submit to the Lord’s authority, despite being a first hand witness to the Lord’s demonstrated sovereignty, power and control, not only over his demon ‘gods’, and his kingdom, but also over his personal life. Pharaoh was therefor punished more and more severely as he chose to harden himself continually in willful unbelief, and reject the Lord’s grace and mercy, until there was no more time (Exodus 5-14, Jeremiah 46:17, Luke 19:44b). Note that although Pharaoh was a firstborn, the plague of the firstborn did not befall him. Jasher 80:57 reveals it was to reveal the Lord’s sovereignty (might) and strong arm of judgment.

The apostle Paul (then Saul) – in stark contrast with Pharaoh – is an example of a zealous person once having been hardened against the gospel, but wholeheartedly repenting after being afflicted and powerfully witnessed to. The Lord met and reproved him personally on the road to Damascus (a type of destructive path). Saul had persecuted the Lord through his followers (Acts 9). Transitioning through his three days of darkness (physical blindness) and helplessness, he humbled himself and became the Lord’s vessel to be used in advancement of his Kingdom. Paul was shown truth and love by a fellow believer (Ananias, meaning ‘gracious’, a bride type), and became a powerful asset to the Lord after his wholehearted repentance.

The unsaved who have blessed the Lord’s people

Those among the unsaved, who have been a blessing to the Lord’s people (like Pharaoh’s daughter had been to Moses) are expected to receive a measure of protection amidst judgment, as we can derive from Jasher 49-52, detailing how the evil and plague of the firstborn did not fall on her. This is rooted in the Biblical principle that those who bless God’s people will be blessed themselves (Genesis 12:3).

2. The Second Exodus plagues in Scripture

A look at their reoccurrence, the expected season of impact, and the given timing

Below, you can first discern from Scripture that the Exodus judgments and rescue of the Lord’s faithful and the innocent will be repeated in the end times. To gain insight regarding the expected timing thereof, the summer season is then considered. Scripture subsequently relays that supernatural darkness will fall at noontime, after worldwide earthquakes and clear warning signs in the heavens, as the selected verses demonstrate.

Egypt’s plagues repeated

We find prophetic foreshadowings in both testaments that the plagues of Egypt will be repeated, among which many parallels in the trumpet and bowl judgments in the Book of Revelation. Ancient Egypt serves as a prophetic type of the world and those adhering to the world system, its temporal securities and false gods in the end times.

Deuteronomy 28:27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch (boils) of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save [thee]. … and ….. 58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, [even] great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

Isaiah 19 deals with the burden of Egypt in its entirety. A segment: 19:19 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. 2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. 3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

Isaiah 30: 1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! (the rebellious, that look for strength and counsel in Spiritual Egypt, the world system of oppression and perverseness, and are entangled in worldliness) 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt [your] confusion.

The graphs below show that the Exodus plagues are mirrored in the Book of Revelation

  • Slides 1-2: Parallels between the Exodus plagues and the Revelation judgments.
  • Slide 3: ‘Jehovah Versus the Gods of Egypt’, about how the Lord brought down Egypt’s false gods (Numbers 33:4) and executed judgment upon those willfully adhering to them.

The apocryphal book of Jasher and 2 Esdras (notes Tim Foster) also speak about the plagues of Egypt.

Summer season indicators

Updated 9/21

Multiple scriptures lead us to consider the summer harvest season as the start of the end times judgments, when personal and national fruits are fully ripe, both the fruits of the Holy Spirit and those of iniquity (Genesis 6:13, Ezekiel 7:10, Amos 8:1-3). This timeframe is naturally expressed in the overlapping grape harvest and summer wheat harvest. Among this second wheat crop, the tares sown among them – which will be bundled to be judged by fire – are clearly distinguishable by this time (Matthew 13:30). In this article, multiple Scripture references supporting this seasonal expectation are analyzed in more detail.

The article covers that ‘Pentecost fully come’ is placed at the time of the overlapping summer wheat and early grape harvest (Micah 7:1, Joel 2:24, Nehemiah 13:15). This correlates with the Essene solar-based counting of the Feast of New Wine, marked to start on Sunday, July 23rd this year*. The first fruits of wine are offered on the first day of the week, mirroring Christā€™s resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:20, Acts 20:6, Mark 16:1-2, John 20:11-22). During the summer harvests, the Lord’s laborers or end times harvesters are dispatched into his vineyard, which I understand to speak of the end times harvest of souls. This is referred to in Isaiah 5:7 and 49:22 and Matthew 10:1-15.

*7/26 In the Second Temple timeframe, Av 15 was considered the start of the grape harvest, placed on August 2nd this year.

Update 9/21 The grape harvest ends on Yom Kippur (Tishri 10, the Day of Atonement or ‘Yom Kippur’). Note, that in a Jubilee year (which is announced on the Day of Atonement) the land rests for a year and the new year’s harvest of all summer fruits does not start until the year has ended. This year concludes the 70th year of Babylon’s reign under Elizabeth and appears to start the Jubilee year, 50 years after the Yom Kippur war.

Another revealing account directing us to this timeframe is that of the prophet Amos in chapter 8. While the preceding chapter states that in his days, the prophesied judgment by fire and release of demonic locusts were stayed, after Amos had interceded for the people (Amos 7:1-6), we know from the Book of Revelation that a second fulfillment of fiery and demonic judgment upon God’s unrepentant people will not be withheld. Amos 8 also speaks of a correlation between the future judgment upon Israel (then indicating the nation, while prophetically speaking of believers grafted in by faith representing Abraham’s seed) occurring at the time when a basket of summer fruit was filled (assumed to be summer wheat, grapes, referenced in verses 1-2).

Update 9/21 the third cop of summer fruits consisted of hard pressed fruit, olives and almonds used to light the Temple Menorah and other lamps. These summer fruits complete Amos’ basket of summer fruits at the time of the Feast of Ingathering (Tabernacles) and the concluding Pentecost Feast of New Oil, which mirrors Passover and Unleavened Bread in the first month. People’s first fruits of oil could be brought to the Temple until Tishri 22, which bookends the summer fruit timeframe IMO.

Verse 8 speaks of judgment falling in the form of discernible tremblings, widespread mourning and the land rising as the annual flooding of the Nile river in Egypt. This annual flooding of the Nile was pegged to the heliacal rising of Sirius (the first visible rising of the Revelation 22 bright morning star before the sun), thus offering us a clear celestial summer indicator we can calculate. Amos subsequently recounts darkness falling at noontime, and the Lord turning Israel’s (believers prophetically) feasts into mourning (verses 9-10).

Amos 8:1 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit (summer grain and vintage grapes). 2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel (judgment will fall upon the body of Christ); I will not again pass by them any more. 3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence. 4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, 5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? 6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat? 7 The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works. 8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood (the season of annual flooding of the Nile river was marked by the heliacal rising of Sirius, calculated to occur in the original location of sighting at Egypt’s Dendera Egypt on August 5th this year, in Jerusalem on August 7th, in Giza on August 14th, in Smyrna (Izmir, Turkey) on August 15th, and in New York on August 18th. Calculations are measured per average eyesight); and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day: 10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation (the summer harvest feasts, like the Pentecost Feast of New Wine, the Tu B’Av wine festival and the Pentecost New Oil Festival are celebrated at this time. So were pagan harvest feasts, including the debauchery tied to the ‘Golden calf’ incident in Moses’ days, which occurred at the time of the Pentecost New Wine Festival. Isaiah 32:10 speaks of those who perceive to be secure outside Christ, being subject to judgment in the form of tremblings, a failing grape harvest and fruit not being gathered in, aligning with a summer harvest onset of judgment); and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day (indicting that the physical and psychological impact of judgment will be deep and prolonged).

Amos 9:5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. 6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

Jeremiah 46:7 Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers? 8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof. 9 Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow. 10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Combining the insight given in Amos 8-9, Jeremiah 46 and Isaiah 32, we can thus consider a seasonal timeframe by means of agricultural indicators (the time of the summer harvests of summer wheat, grapes and oil), affirmed by the feast cycle marker of summer harvest feasts, followed by the celestial marker of the annual heliacal rising of Sirius (an indicative timeframe between August 5-18 this year) and the timing of judgment falling, namely at noontime.

Darkness will fall at noon

We read that Amos spoke of darkness falling at noon (Amos 8:9). Other scriptures that speak about destruction and darkness falling at noontime, the same time darkness that fell at the time of the Lord’s crucifixion:

Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Isaiah 26:20-21 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about
thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast
(People are instructed to stay indoors as the plague of darkness starts, caused by Jeremiah’s ‘spoiler’ or ‘destroyer, meaning the inbound planetary system, coupled with accompanying demonic hordes being released). For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine (kindling); for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth (worldwide physical darkness), and gross darkness the people (demonic oppression): but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee (the faithful believers will be transformed, receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Their homes will be reflective beacons of light).

Job 5:13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. 14 They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night. 15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

Deuteronomy 28:27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. 28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

Revelation 6 speaks of the great shaking prior to darkness falling: 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

So does Psalm 18: 18:7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. 8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. 9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness [was] under his feet. 10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. In the progression of this Psalm, David and his seed (the anointed of God, the end times harvesters) arise in strength and are given ruling authority, overcoming the enemy.

And Joel 2. Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at hand;2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations. ... 10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

As well as Job 9, verses 6 and 7: He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble.7 He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars.

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Matthew 24 zooms in on the darkness: 29 Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Isaiah 13:9-10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.

Acts 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.

Ecclesiastes 12 1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; 2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain: 3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened, 4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low; 5 Also [when] they shall be afraid of [that which is] high, and fears [shall be] in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets …

Jeremiah 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

Habakkuk 3:12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation (the overflowing scourge), thou didst thresh the heathen in anger (harsh threshing). 13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, [even] for salvation with thine anointed (the end times harvesters are commissioned to assist the Lord); thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

The apocryphal book of 2 Esdras chapter 2 also speaks about the arising of the faithful at the time when calamity starts.

Pestilences, plagues and earthquakes:

Pestilence in Strong’s Concordance

Segment updated on 9/21

Psalm 91: 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Leviticus 26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. 22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your [high] ways shall be desolate. 23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; 24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of [my] covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy

Psalm 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels [among them].50 He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

Ezekiel 5:9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations. 10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds. 11 Wherefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish [thee]; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity. 12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

Judgment from above:

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. 29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

As the days of Noah and Lot

The judgment pattern also reflects the days of Noah (who was well prepared) and Lot (who was saved in the nick of time after being interceded for by Abraham):

As it was in the days of Noa, Jesus is our ark today: “The Lord told Noah to put pitch on the inside and outside of the ark. Pitch is a black or dark viscous substance like tar, however the Hebrew word for pitch is ā€œkapharā€ and itā€™s definition is; ā€œto cover, purge, make an atonement, make reconciliationā€ (Strongā€™s # 3722), so just as Noah was told to cover the entire inside and outside of the ark with pitch, so Jesus is our coveringā€¦our atonement, reconciling us back to God. After the ark is built, ā€œthe LORD said to Noah, ā€œGo into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generationā€ (Genesis 7:1).

3. A description of each plague and order of events

Below, you can read more details about each plague, the preceding warning signs, and scenarios regarding their end times fulfillment, based on Scripture and illustrated with prophetic words and visions.

It is my understanding that the end times judgments will start with the appointment and commissioning of the Lord’s end times witnesses, who will show signs and wonders and call down judgments worldwide, as they assist the Lord in his end times harvest, like Moses and Aaron in their days (Psalm 105:24-27). This pattern is affirmed in Isaiah 13 (verses 1-11).

Worldwide red skies, shakings and auroras (these will last from 2 up to 48 hours, depending on where you live) will subsequently herald the three days of physical and spiritual darkness, which will start at noontime (referenced in Amos 8:9, Job 5:14, Deuteronomy 28:29, and Psalm 91:6). The Lord’s witnesses will assist him during the darkness (Isaiah 13, Isaiah 60:1-2, Revelation 14:3-5, Amos 9:11).

At the onset of darkness – before demons are released – the Lord is expected to snatch (rapture) the innocent in Christ (children and feeble-minded worldwide). At the conclusion of the three days of darkness, all faithful overcomers are expected to be taken to heaven, after the lukewarm and unsaved have been given opportunity to repent, and wholeheartedly submit their lives to the Lord.

Anchored in Scripture

We find a pattern of the days of darkness chronology foreshadowed in Psalm 105, that recounts the Exodus judgments in this order, which differs from the order in the Book of Exodus itself. Because the author of Psalm 105, David, foreshadows the 144.000 transfigured witnesses from Revelation 14:3-5, I understand the Psalm 105 order of events will apply to the end times fulfillment of the Exodus plagues when the elect faithful, the Revelation 14 end ties harvesters will play a key role.

Psalm 105:23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. 24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants. 26 He sent Moses his servant; [and] Aaron whom he had chosen. 27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. 28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. 29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. 30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings. 31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, [and] lice in all their coasts. 32 He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land. 33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. 34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number, 35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. 36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. 37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and [there was] not one feeble [person] among their tribes. 38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

The Psalm 105 order of events:

  1. v 26 two chosen witness are sent
  2. v 27 supernatural signs and wonders are given to Egypt (Egypt serves as a type of the world)
  3. v 28 darkness falls (the ninth plague in the original Exodus sequence)
  4. …. then the rest of the plagues follows (Psalm 105 recounts 7 of the 10 original plagues)

We find another witness of this order of events in the Book of Isaiah, in chapters 13 and 60, where the appointment of the Lord’s end times witnesses and their call to arise precedes the onset of darkness and the judgment of Babylon (reflecting nations in spiritual idolatry), starting with the US as the firstborn of the nations:

Isaiah 13:1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see. 2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. 3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, [even] them that rejoice in my highness (the arising of three groups of harvesters) 4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. 5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, [even] the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD [is] at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: 8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces [shall be as] flames. 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. 10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. 11 And I will punish the world for [their] evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee (the end times harvesters are called before darkness falls).2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth (worldwide physical darkness), and gross darkness the people (demonic manifestation, spiritual oppression): but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee (faithful believers shall be transformed during the darkness).

A fourth reflection of this pattern is found in Psalm 18, which features the Lord shaking the earth, breathing smoke and fire, and darkness being positioned under his feet (meaning, it is subdued and comes down before him) as he comes out of heaven to both deliver and strengthen his own and judge the rebellious and the wicked (verse 7-10). In the progression of this Psalm (verse 32-50), David and his spiritual seed (the anointed of God, the end times harvesters) arise in strength and are given ruling authority, overcoming the enemy.

Plague 1 | The three days of darkness

This was plague 9 in the Exodus account

Thick darkness covered Egypt for three days (Ex 10:21-29, Jasher 80:36-40) before the Passover, the judgment on the firstborn and Exodus from Goshen. The Israelites (and their livestock) were safe and well provided for, as they followed the Lord’s instructions, having applied the blood of their sacrificial lambs on their doorposts.

End times fulfillment

The end times days of spiritual and physical darkness (Isaiah 60:1-2, Psalm 91) are patterned after these three days of darkness in the Exodus, which in turn are mirrored in the lives of Jonah, Jesus, Lazarus, and Paul as well. Scripture speaks of a similar timespan of darkness in Matthew 24:29-30, Isaiah 13:9-11, Isaiah 60:1-2, Job 5:14, 12:25 and 18:5-6, Jeremiah 4:23-29, Acts 2:20, Psalm 78:42-52, 91:6 and 136:10-16, Amos 8:9-10, Revelation 6:12, Revelation 8:12, and in Revelation 9:1-3. In the latter part of end times tribulation, the kingdom of the beast will be plunged into darkness also (Revelation 16:10-11). The Book of Jasher chapter 80 also recounts the three days of darkness, speaking of many perishing who were outside of God’s covenant and those who disobeyed the instructions of Moses and Aaron.

The thick darkness will be supernatural and inhabited by demons released from below (Revelation 9:1-12, Isaiah 14:9, Jasher 80:19-21), seeking to devour anyone left outside without the Lord’s spiritual covering (1 Peter 5:8). We recognize this demonic manifestation in the death angel who killed the firstborn of the Egyptians prior to Passover.

It is wise to anoint your home prayerfully beforehand, prepare yourself spiritually, educate and exercise yourself in repentance and warfare prayers and ensure your household’s physical and medical emergency preparedness are in order. This means you will have at least ensured yourself of provisions for three days for your household, those you may invite and your animals. At the end of this page, you will find more detailed resources to help you prepare and to inform and warn others.

Worldwide signs in the heavens

The three days of darkness will be preceded by visible signs in the heavens, namely by red and lowering skies (Matthew 16:2-4, Ezekiel 1:4) coupled with radiant colors or northern lights and aurora like phenomena (a heavenly banner, sign, standard – Strongs’ 5251, rooted in 5264 – mentioned in Isaiah 49:22 & 62:10). These will likely be caused by a cosmic collision involving the reported inbound planetary system – also referred to as ‘the destroyer’ and ‘the spoiler‘ in the Bible – that will block the Sun. The heavenly signs and dazzling, aurora type lights will occur worldwide and will catch everyone’s attention. Based on multiple prophetic words, rooted in Scripture, we may discern that these vibrant, dazzling lights will be visible 2 to 48 hours before thick spiritual and physical darkness covers the entire earth.

Matthew 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas (three days of darkness, a sign of hindsight plus a final timeframe to repent before judgment falls). And he left them, and departed.

The apocryphal book 2 Esdras 2 also speaks about these signs. See also these research notes on the topic by Tim Foster.

Gather your household and get your house in order as soon as you see the vibrant aurora’s in the sky. Get and stay indoors until the darkness is lifted, which is after three full days.

Isaiah 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Darkness falling

The oppressively thick demonic and physical darkness will fall at noontime and will last for 72 hours, so three full days (Psalm 91:6, Amos 8:9, Job 5:14). You and your household (and those you may invite) have to be indoors beforehand and stay indoors until the 72 hours have passed, so until the darkness is fully lifted. The darkness will be unnatural and tangible, it will be oppressive and heavy. Scripture references are found in Amos 8:5-9, Amos 5:18, Joel 2:2-11 and 28-32, Acts 2:20-21, Revelation 6:9-17, Isaiah 13:9-11, Matthew 24:29-30. The Book of Jasher (80:40) recounts the Egyptians (type of the unsaved, hard hearted against the Lord) were unable to move, frozen in place when darkness fell. To determine the time during the three days of darkness, you will need a windup clock, as electronic or battery-operated clocks will likely not work during this time.

Warn others who will mostly not be aware of the true meaning of the heavenly warning signs; perhaps they’re busy taking photos and posting on social media or listening to the mainstream media offering different explanations. As you tell others of the coming events, let REPENTANCE be a strong part of your message to them, as the Lord requires all to repent and wholeheartedly turn to him, per Joel 2:12-18 (Courtesy: Abby K).

Who will have light in their dwelling?

The Lord’s believers will have light in their dwellings by the measure of their faith, love, and obedience (Isaiah 60:1-2, Philippians 2:15, 1 John 3:1-2, Proverbs 4:18, Matthew 13:43, Daniel 12:3).

This means that faithful believers will have their usual power sources (electricity for most) in their homes (Psalm 139:12) by supernatural provision from the Lord. This will serve as blessed confirmation to them and as a witness of the Lord’s sovereignty and power over the demonic forces to others. If there are wayward or unsaved adult family members in a believer’s household, they are given the opportunity to lead them to salvation, as this is likely their final opportunity to be taken in the worldwide rapture of the faithful (Acts 2:20-21, Luke 21:36-37).

Households of lukewarm believers will have less bright light sources to their disposal (candles, oil lamps or other natural flames they have on hand), showing their partial spiritual covering and thus the need for wholehearted repentance and full surrender to the Lord.Tthey will not be able to see more than an inch or two from their faces even with light from candles, oil lamps and such. They will need to pray with faith (not give into fear) for full spiritual security, while remaining indoors.

In the homes of the unsaved it is expected to be dark and oppressive. This darkness and oppression will likely be lifted when they wholeheartedly repent and turn to the Lord.

From this study by brother Tim Foster, we can discern that during these three days of darkness, the Lord will personally visit each and everyone who does not yet know him as their Lord and Savior, giving each of them an opportunity to come to know him and receive salvation before additional judgments fall. In like manner Jonah and Paul were visited by the Lord unto their salvation amidst darkness/blindness.

Demons roaming outside, seeking entry

Do not unlock or open your doors and windows under ANY circumstances, to prevent demons from gaining entry.

To protect fearful family members from the sight of demons outside, you can cover your windows and other light penetrating surfaces. Many people (the unsaved and lukewarm, who have compromise in their walk) will hear voices, screams, shouts, curses and such. They may also hear what appears to be the voices of loved ones and friends. Tell them to not believe these deceptive or beguiling voices who will beg people to let them in. Understand, that no human is able to see or move in this demonic darkness. Only demonic entities, fallen ones and the Lord’s angels will be able to see and move about during these three days. Demonic entities can however pose as people’s loved ones (these are known as ‘familiar spirits’) attempting to seek entry (Joel 2:9, Jasher 80:21). Give them no heed, bind their power in Jesus’ name and cast them off your property. The Lord’s angels will protect believers’ homes from forced entry or any other harm. Pray to the Lord for calmness and peace in your heart and in your home. It will be granted to all who pray to him. Courtesy: Lynn Johnson.

This supernatural danger will likely be coupled with natural upheaval, such as earthquakes and thunderstorms (Revelation 6:12-13, Joel 2:10), as well as social chaos, especially in urban environments. Remain in prayer, focus your heart and mind on the Lord, and comfort and support your family members.

Tares separated from the wheat

Wicked people, who may perceive they’re safe in man-made and idolatrous safety constructs, will be gathered and bound in bundles to be burned up when the Lord comes to draw his sword of judgment. These include the world elite, seeking to hide in their well-equipped bunkers (Revelation 6:16). Note that the gathering of the tares is mentioned before the wheat (the Lord’s faithful) is gathered into the Lord’s barn (the first, worldwide departure to heaven).

Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Ezekiel 21:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop [thy word] toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel, 3 And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I [am] against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous (faithful) and the wicked (tares). 4 Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: 5 That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more. 6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of [thy] loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes. 7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: (the three days of darkness and release of licensed demonic forces as weapon in the Lord’s toolkit against those outside the Lord’s protection) and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak [as] water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.

It is my understanding these tares are part of the Lord’s pre-wedding slaughter, just like Samson slew the young lion in the vineyard prior to taking his bride (Judges 14:5-8):

Ezekiel 21: 9 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: 10 It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, [as] every tree. 11 And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. 12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it [shall be] upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon [thy] thigh. 13 Because [it is] a trial, and what if [the sword] contemn even the rod? it shall be no [more], saith the Lord GOD. 14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite [thine] hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it [is] the sword of the great [men that are] slain, which entereth into their privy chambers. 15I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that [their] heart may faint, and [their] ruins be multiplied: ah! [it is] made bright, [it is] wrapped up for the slaughter. 16 Go thee one way or other, [either] on the right hand, [or] on the left, whithersoever thy face [is] set. 17 I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said [it].

The pattern of the slaughter of the Lord’s enemies is confirmed in Luke 19:27

Luke 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Reasoning behind the aerial phenomena,

physical darkness, and tectonic upheaval

This worldwide sudden physical darkness at noon will likely be caused by the inbound planetary system – referred to as ‘the destroyer’ and ‘the spoiler‘ in the Bible – that will block the Sun during this time, like at the time of the Exodus. This inbound planetary system can cause aurora-type phenomena due to energy-release upon near approach and ionization of the earth’s upper atmosphere. Coupled with the ejection of dust and debris into the upper atmosphere, the light of the Sun and the stars can become scattered.

Earthquakes are expected to precede the three days of darkness as well (Revelation 6:12-13, Joel 2:10). Mountain displacing tectonic upheaval and ‘pouring heavens’ (hail, fire, brimstones, meteor showers) are parallelled in the book of Judges 5:4-5 concerning Joshua’s days and prefigures in the Old Testament destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, which may point forward to an end times fulfillment as well.

These are certainly perilous times with high stakes and much devastation. Millions will die – even a third of the earth’s population – as judgments fall (Revelation 9:15-18). If unsaved adults die during this time of darkness, they will stay in this outer darkness (Job 18:5-6, Matthew 8:12 and 22:13 , II Peter 2:17).

For your consideration: a prophetic word from sister Celestial from The Master’s Voice and one from Vicky Goforth Parnell on the topic of the three days of darkness (plus the transcript of Vicky’s video) for your consideration.

The thief comes amidst darkness

Where can we find Scriptural evidence the Lord comes amidst darkness? In Deuteronomy 28 we recognize a connection between the manifestation of darkness – likened to the plagues of Egypt – and being spoiled.

Deuteronomy 28:28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save [thee].

We also know from Scripture the Lord will come as a thief to those not watching and waiting for him:

Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Hosea 9:11 As for Ephraim (the firstborn), their glory shall fly away (faithful believers) like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. 12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, (rapture of the innocent in Christ) that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them! 13 Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. 14 Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts (the unborn will raptured as well).

Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come (taking the elect harvest workers and innocent), to heaven he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we (overcomers in Christ, watching prayerfully) which are alive and remain (after the elect harvest workers and the innocent are taken) shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. (the wise are informed and instructed) 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord (the onset of tribulation judgment, the wrath of the Lamb) so cometh as a thief in the night (matching the Old Testament practice that the High Priest would return to find his servant either awake or asleep at the helm with the altar fire either burning or left unattended, and in ancient Hebrew the thief refers to the time the bridegroom would come for his bride). 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they (the rebellious and unsaved by that time) shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day (the day of sudden destruction) should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness (the wise are aware and ready for the appointed times). 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath (from either the Lamb or the Father), but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

The lukewarm and unsaved should heed Jesusā€™ warning: ā€œBe ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect himā€ (Matthew 24:44). Those who are considered as either lukewarm or wicked servants by the Lord upon his return (Matthew 18:32, 24:48-51, 25:26, and Proverbs 29:12) will be left behind, to endure a time of severe discipline and judgment along with unbelievers to develop overcoming faith then (Romans 11:17-22, Revelation 3:16, Luke 21:36-37, Jeremiah 11:7-12, Hebrews 12:6-7). They will be confronted with the loss of their children and faithful spouses (Isaiah 47:8-11).

They will be disciplined by the Lord as they learn to trust and obey him fully amidst persecution and tribulation (Luke 12:46-47, Matthew 24:48-51, Matthew 25:11-12). They will need to maintain a living testimony of Christ until the end of their lives and not take the mark of the beast to enter into heaven, as explained in more detail here.

Inaccurate explanations about the rapture

The spiritual enemy and those who do their bidding are aware of the coming rapture events and will offer unbiblical explanations for the sudden disappearance of millions of children and the Lord’s faithful worldwide, such as ascribing events to ‘aliens’ from other-dimensional civilizations or other ”supernatural intelligent beings’ having taken them elsewhere (for re-eduction, training and/or safekeeping). Either due to ignorance or to purposefully deceive people, governments, religious leaders and so-called ‘experts’ will most likely present inaccurate and deceitful explanations as well, in line with the enemy’s predictive programming and great deceptions regarding the earth’s cosmology and the origin and nature of demonic entities. The Bible forewarns us about this delusion and deception in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17.

Plague 2 | Water to blood

The water of the Nile River turned into blood. For the Israelites, however, the water remained blood-free and safe to drink, by supernatural provision of God (Ex 4:9, 7:14-2).

This plague lasted for seven days (Exodus 7:25).

A clear division was visible from the plagues’ onset between the fate of the obedient and the disobedient. It also became apparent that, far from being natural phenomena, nature’s laws and course of things were turned up-side-down, demonstrating nature was expressly ordered by its sovereign creator to act in abnormal ways. While the supernatural anomalies were ominously disheartening and frightening for the Egyptians, the supernatural protection and provisions bestowed upon the faithful Israelites served as wonderful reassurance to them, testifying of the Lord’s sovereignty and faithfulness.

Those in the valley of decision (the unsaved multitude and lukewarm Israelites, Joel 3:14) were presented clearly distinct options. ‘Fence sitters’ among them (who acknowledged God but chose to remain unresponsive, lukewarm and disobedient) were initially only mildly impacted by the onset of plagues. As the judgments increased in severity, they were beckoned with increasing fervor to choose to repent, turn back to God and be obedient or suffer the consequences of their willful indecision. They were clearly shown that remaining unresponsive, in compromise and willful disobedience would have serious ramifications. The fence they decided to remain seated on, became glowing hot and ultimately caught fire, proverbially, as it belongs to the adversary.

End times fulfillment:

Those who will endure this plague in the end times are expected to witness water turning blood also, affecting not only public waterways, but also contained water. False prophets then and now shed the blood of the saints and innocent. The same bitterness that afflicted Egypt when the Nile River turned to blood was because of persecuting Godā€™s people and killing their children.

For faithful believers water will be clear and safe to drink by God’s supernatural provision. Revelation 8:5-8 mentions lighting, hail mingled with blood and fire being cast down from heaven. Revelation 8:8-11 mentions both a third of the earth’s sea water being turned into blood and rivers and fountains becoming bitter. The two witnesses will be given the authority to change water into blood also (Revelation 11:6). Water (the sea) being turned to blood is also mentioned in Revelation 16:4.

We have seen precursors of this plague around the world, as many bodies of water worldwide have turned blood red in color. Note that in these instances water only ‘appeared as blood’, so it had not turned ‘into’ actual blood, as Scripture states will occur during this judgment.

For your consideration: a prophetic word from Vicky Goforth Parnell on this topic.

Plague 3 | Frogs

Frogs overran the countryside and even entered the sanctity of people’s homes (Ex 8:1-15, Jasher 80.). The Lord purposefully allowed frogs to infest the land and the water to be contaminated due to Egypt’s involvement with child sacrifice and attempted infanticide of the Israelites, which was tied to their frog goddess Hekt (Exodus 1:15-16). The association of Hekt with infanticide, committed by the Egyptians, is explained in more detail here.

End times fulfillment

In like manner, spiritual uncleanness and the generalized practice of abortion, euthanasia and adherence to idolatry, sorcery (Pharmakeia) worldwide, serve as fitting end times examples of the same caliber.

In Scripture frogs represent unclean spirits that capture their prey with their tongue, or by means of deception (ref. in Revelation 16:13-15, Psalm 78:45, Psalm 105:30). The end times unholy trinity (the dragon, the beast and the false prophet) are likened to loathsome frogs. As frogs croak by night in marshes and quagmires, so these unclean spirits proclaim mixture, filth and darkness radiating a slimy, slippery demeanor. Classic Greek writers and poets considered frogs to be the proper inhabitants of the Stygian lake, or the river of hell. Their mouths are their chief seat of influence, in their case of deception, disease, destruction and death. All the kings of the earth that follow the same unclean frog spirits will ultimately be going to their own demise, as will the people following after them (1 Timothy 4:1-2)..

For your consideration, a prophetic dream Vicky Goforth Parnell We may discern the involvement of CERN (type of current day ‘magicians’, operating under the Lord’s control), while physical frog investations will likely be explained away by false claims like ‘climate change’, algae formation etc.

Plague 4 | Flies

Swarms of stinging flies covered the land and entered the houses of Pharaoh and his servants (Ex 8:20-32, Psalms 78:45 and 105:31). God demonstrated his sovereignty over space and time as well as over nature by keeping the flies out of Goshen and off the Israelites. These acts of supernatural power over the created and ungodly social order must have served as a great comfort to his people, with whom he was in covenant, which he clearly upheld (Deut. 7:7ā€“9). From this plague onward, Goshen – a foreshadowing of faithful believers in Christ – was no longer directly affected.

End times fulfillment

We find a reference in Psalm 105:31. According to the Bible, dead or poisonous flies indicate ruining of wisdom and corruption. Therefore, spiritual foolishness can result in spiritual blindness and ultimately into spiritual destruction. Flies are usually associated with decay, death and they assemble around food sources and carcasses, causing contamination. Symbolically, flies can be associated with the moral decay and sinfulness leading to death characterized by the Egyptians, but not the Israelites.

This type of fly could also have been responsible for blindness that was recorded at record highs in Egyptian men at this time (Jasher 80:17). Also, Baalzebub is a false god, known as god of the flies (representative of Satan per Matthew 9:34, 12:24 and the prince of the demons per Luke 11:15). Jesus was accused of being possessed by this demon.

We’ve also seen precursors of genetically modified flies/mosquito’s being released into the wild under false pretenses, recently.

Plague 5 | Lice

People and animals were infested with lice (Ex 8:16-19). While the magicians acknowledged the plague was divine in origin – by the finger of God – they did not submit to its author and Pharaoh remained stubborn, hardening his heart.

End times fulfillment

Lice are parasitical, highly contagious and they feed on human blood; they suck life-energy away if undetected and unchecked, like sin and having open doors to demonic oppression. Seeking repentance, deliverance and applying the Lord’s blood covering, as described in John 6:53-58, is the antidote to this plague, spiritually:

6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

Applied, it means we pray the blood covering of the Lord’s atonement over ourselves, our children, our livestock, our pets and our homes. More detailed instructions can be found at the section Warfare Prayers at the end of this article.

Plague 6 | Livestock killed

Disease killed all the livestock of Egypt at an appointed morning while the livestock of the Israelites remained untouched (Ex 9:1-7, Jasher 80:25-26). As the plagues kept coming, their severity kept increasing and their target remained pinpointed, it became ever more clear that they were not mere tricks but divinely instigated acts of judgment against Egypt, humiliation of their false gods and to affect their means of provision and wealth. The pantheistic Egyptians revered all animals but birds and livestock more than fish and amphibians. For them to loose their livestock would constitute a serious loss indeed; for this to happen while the Israelites retained all theirs, represented a nationwide humiliation, affecting their sense of pride, presumed independence from God and false sense of self-accomplishment.

This plague is not mentioned in Psalm 105

End times fulfillment

This plague could have a literal application regarding the wellbeing of livestock (& pets) of faithful believers, versus those owned by lukewarm believers and the unsaved.

We also discern a worldwide trend of mass livestock die-offs (and government ordered killings) because of presumed (pseudo-) ‘pandemics’ or ‘disease outbreaks’ in line with the WHO ‘One Health’ and ‘Sustainability’ agendas, covertly aimed to control, diminish and eradicate animal and human life.

We may also consider more incremental scenarios, due to fertilizer or nutrition becoming too expensive or outlawed (for instance under ‘climate change’ regulations), and/or crops being ruined by weather extremes or radiation, causing feeding or keeping livestock to become too expensive. We’ve seen precursors of this dynamic already, as well as many episodes of mass animal deaths.

A broader application, reflecting the meaning of lifestock in ancient times, would be that means of provision, status and income (property, assets and wealth distribution platforms such as financial & trade systems) of those still fully or partially dependent upon the world’s control grid, would be compromised or cease to function to seriously affect people’s livelihood and sustenance (in contrast with relative stability and abundance of faithful believers who will be supernaturally provided for). The Lord will not hesitate to take away people’s precious commodities and assets in the end times, especially if they serve as idols. Thus, Revelation 18:17 speaks of Babylon the great, the great city, ā€œFor in a single hour all this wealth has been laid waste.ā€

Plague 7 | Boils

Boils and sores infected the Egyptians and their animals (Ex 9:8-12, Jasher 80:27-28)

Ryken: To understand how completely God humiliated Pharaohā€™s magicians, it helps to know that by throwing ashes into the air, Moses was doing something that Egyptian priests often did. It was customary for Pharaohā€™s priests to take sacrificial ashes and cast them into the air as a sign of blessing. But God took that ritual act and turned it into a curse. This was a matter of justice, because the soot may well have come from a furnace for making bricks, like the bricks the Israelites baked for Pharaoh. If so, God was exacting strict justice, repaying the Egyptians for their sins. John Currid writes, ā€œThe type of furnace spoken of here was probably a kiln for burning bricks. The furnace, then, was a symbol of the oppression of the Hebrews, the sweat and tears they were shedding to make bricks for the Egyptians. Thus the very soot made by the enslaved people was now to inflict punishment on their oppressors.ā€ God was making Israelā€™s curse a blessing and was turning Egyptā€™s blessing into a curse.”

This plague is not mentioned in Psalm 105.

End times fulfillment

People’s sins and idolatry were externalized as boils and sores, thus becoming known and also visible to others creating an explicit need to deal with them (Matthew 15:19). In Deuteronomy 28:27 we are warned that this judgment can befall believers as well, if we do not heed and obey God:

27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods (hemorrhoids), and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

In our time, many people’s compromised spiritual defenses and weakened natural immune systems (especially, if undermined and harmed by the CV19 injections containing multiple pathogens, cancerous substances, remotely manipulable graphene nano-structures, non-human genetics and DNA damaging components), coupled with weaponized electromagnetic radiation, in the context of general contaminated air, water, and food supplies, will likely play a role (ref. of this plague are found in Luke 21:11, Matthew 24:7, Psalm 91:3-6. If you have willfully taken this poisonous injection as an individual, church or family, REPENT and the Lord will cover you. Do not take any more.

False teachers, diviners and deceivers are expected to be struck with this plague as well, to beckon them to repentance and alert their audience to their spiritual state, so people know they should not follow them but the Lord alone, by his Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 3:8-9, Acts 13:10-11, Isaiah 28:7).

Plague 8 | Hail and fire

Hail and fire from heaven destroyed all servants and animals in the field, as well as the remaining crops and vegetation. Those who feared the Lord retreated into their homes, sheltered their animals and were thus safeguarded (Ex 9:13-35, Jasher 80:30-32).

The original 7th plague likely took place between the end of January and mid-February.

We can discern this because flax was budding and barley was ‘in the ear. The flax is ā€œbolledā€ā€”i.e., forms its seed-vesselā€”towards the end of January or beginning of February, and the barley comes into ear about the same time. These facts fix the date of this plague, and help to pinpoint the dates both of the earlier and the later ones as well.

End times fulfillment

These plants’ tangible signs of fruitfulness are reminiscent of Jesus’ instructions to his overcomers in the letters to the seven churches, to prayerfully watch and hear what the Spirit is saying: “he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” in Revelation 2:7. We are to tend to our spiritual garden, bringing forth the fruits of the Spirit and trust the Lord by his leading though His Spirit and the Word.

Galatians 5: 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

In the second Exodus, fire, hail (Strong’s H1258-H1259) and burning coals are expected to be cast down from heaven (Psalm 18:12), as cosmic judgment is prophesied to fall upon spiritual Babylon (starting with the US, the daughter of Babylon and firstborn of the nations), as was appointed to Sodom and Gomorrah in their days. The burning coals and hail are stored up in heaven for this day (Luke 21:25-36, Job 38:22-23). Revelation 8:5-8 mentions lighting, hail mingled with blood and fire being cast down from heaven, as does Habakkuk 3:5 mention burning coals before the Lord’s feet. Isaiah 30:30 also refers to hailstones as one of God’s instruments of judgment.

Weighty hailstones are also mentioned in Revelation 16:21. The context suggests that only the wicked will suffer this plague.

Plague 9 | Locusts

Swarms of locusts covered the land (Ex 10:1-20). Swarms of natural locusts can be devastating (Judges 6:5 and 7:12, Ecclesiastes 12:5) and supernatural ones even more so. In response to this plague, Pharaoh presumed he was in a position to negotiate with God and he wanted the Israelite children to stay (as hostages) while the adults were permitted to leave for three days to worship in the wilderness. Moses remained steadfast and called for all the people and livestock to leave.

End times fulfillment

In the Bible locust swarms are used to describe anything that quickly invades and devastates an area (see Jud. 6:5; 7:12; Isa. 33:4; Jer. 46:23; 51:14, 27). In a similar vein, they are likened to an invading army (see Joel 1-2, Amos 7:1-3). In this second Exodus fulfillment locusts and locust-like demonic entities are expected to be released from above and below (Revelation 9:3 and 12:9, Joel 1:2-4, Joel 2). This could be the onset of spiritual darkness falling and demonic presence thickening.

Ecclesiastes 12 1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; 2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain: 3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened, 4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low; 5 Also [when] they shall be afraid of [that which is] high, and fears [shall be] in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets ā€¦

Source: “In Revelation 9:1-4 God will send what symbolically is described as a great swarm (dark cloud) of locusts. In sharp contrast to Exodus, the locusts are instructed specifically not to harm any plants, but only to sting and torture people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. Thus, another army doing Godā€™s bidding against the wicked, but only to torment, not to destroy. And in this case, the locusts are probably not literal, but symbolically represent demon hordes, as is evident from the fact they originate from the bottomless pit, the jail cell for fallen angels. Also, the physical description of them in Revelation 9:7-11 makes it clear these are not literal locusts.”

We know natural locusts do not have a king over them (Proverbs 30:27), whereas demonic ones do, as Revelation 9 shows.

Plague 10 | Death of the firstborn

The firstborn, both of the unsaved Egyptians and disobedient multitudes and their animals, were destroyed by God’s death angel. Only the Israelites who remained indoors and had the Passover lamb’s blood on their doorpost (a foreshadowing of applying Christ’s blood atonement and walking it out in obedience) were exempt from this plague. The Lord struck the firstborn at about midnight, when a loud cry was heard (Exodus 11:1-12:30, Job 34:19-20, Jasher 80:36-38, 43-48). The purpose of this plague was to deny the wicked the firstfruits of their offspring (the strongest and best, see Psalm. 78:51; 105:36) as they had denied many Israelites theirs.

In obedience to the words of Moses the Israelites asked the Egyptians for golden and silver valuables before they departed. The Lord ensured they received them (Exodus 12:35, ref. in Proverbs 13:22b and Job 27:16-17). Israelā€™s enemies will be plundered in the future (Zephaniah 2:9, Zechariah 2:9, 14:1).

The death of the firstborn is marked on Passover. The deliverance and departure of the Israelites took place right afterward.

End times fulfillment

I understand this plague could have a double fulfillment.

1: Death of the firstborn outside God’s covenant

In this prophetic word, given through Vicky Goforth Parnell, the Lord shares he will once again take the lives of the firstborn of the people and their animals with whom he is not in covenant relationship, who have therefor not applied the blood atonement of the Firstborn of the Father. A transcript of this prophetic word can be read in full, here.

A quote from the transcript: “If my blood is not applied to your hearts, then your first born shall die and their first born shall die until the last generation of those not covered by my blood. But if someone in their generation line has received me in their hearts and are still fully covered meaning they are living by my righteous standards and not theirsā€™ and not found in a back slidden state, then they shall be passed over by the destroyer and that person seeds of promise, their children. If you have accepted me into your heart but are found in a back slidden state, a lukewarm or cold state then you and your seed are not covered under the blood covenant I have made with all my true children who are chasing after me with all their hearts. When the destroyer (the inbound planetary system, planet X, Niburu) comes the first born shall die of all. The only exception of this would be if you have a parent who is faithfully serving me, then you are covered by the blood covenant, I have with them. But if there is no godly parent alive then if living in sin, any sin not repented of, the first born shall die as well as the seed of the child of each generation until that line ends.

This prophetic word can be anchored in Scripture in Passover death of the firstborn of the unsaved and the disobedient, as well as in the account of ‘Rachel weeping for the loss of her children’ per Jeremiah 31:15, Matthew 2:18, Jeremiah 50:45, Hosea 4:6, and Hosea 5:9-15). As Rachel wept over Joseph’s disappearance and presumed her only son had died, the mothers who lost their children at the time of Herod’s slaughter near Ramah (where Rachel was buried) lamented and wailed deeply over their loss. The time of tribulation is described as a time of mourning over one’s only son, meaning prolonged and enduring lamentation, so this verse implies the start of tribulation or ‘the great and terrible day of the Lord’.

Faithful believers living Godly lives and the first-born offspring in their seed line (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren) are exempt from this plague (Isaiah 35:10, Deuteronomy 7:9).

2. Judgment upon the firstborn of the nations

The US, the spiritual daughter of Babylon, also referred to as the tribe of Ephraim (part of Rachel’s seed line), is considered as the spiritual firstborn among the nations, once holding a favored position (Jeremiah 31:9). From being richly blessed and privileged upon its foundation, the nation has by now degenerated into a condition of idolatry and reprobation and is ripe for judgment, akin to Sodom and Gomorrah in their days (Jeremiah 51:42, John 8:7). Judgment begins in the house of the Lord and its onset is executed by the Lord himself (John 8:7). The harlot nation of the US is prophesied to be completely destroyed in one hour, like the cosmic judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah, followed by nuclear attacks (Zechariah 5:1-11, Zechariah 14:12, Jeremiah 50-51), civil war, and foreign invasion from the north (ref. in Jeremiah 50-51, Ezekiel 22-24, Zechariah 5:1-11, Revelation 6:12-14, Revelation 18, John 8:7, Isaiah 28:1-7, Ezekiel 16:35-42, Jeremiah 1:13-16 and Deuteronomy 28:49-57). Other nations will follow (Psalm 9:17).

5. Repentance and warfare prayers

It is wise to exercise these prayers before judgment falls and have them, your Bible and other important information available on paper. The electrical grids worldwide will be unstable from the onset of judgment and electronic devices and online services are expected to be unstable or unavailable also.

6. Practical and medical preparedness

Prepare your household!

Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

7. Do you know the Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

If you do not know the Lord Jesus personally yet and want to be certain you will go to heaven and be assured that you and your household will be safeguarded during the coming plagues, then these basic steps will lead you to salvation in the Lord Jesus:

  • A | admit you are a sinner in need of salvation, repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness (Romans 3:23),
  • B | believe the Lord Jesus died for you on the cross as the payment for your sins and rose again on the third day (Acts 16:31),
  • C | call upon his name to be your Lord and Savior, meaning you surrender your life to him (Romans 9:9-10).

A prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit’s role in our lives

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Your Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. I believe He died, was buried, and on the third day rose again from the dead. I do repent of my sins and come to You for mercy and forgiveness. I renounce Satan and the kingdom of darkness. By faith in Your promise, I receive Jesus Christ personally as my Savior and confess Him as my Lord. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and give me eternal life and make me a child of God. Thank you, Lord, for accepting me. Lord Jesus, I am thirsty for more of You. I ask You, Lord Jesus, to fill me with Your Holy Spirit. By faith, I receive Your Holy Spirit now. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Amen.

After praying for salvation and asking the Lord to fill you with his Holy Spirit, keep seeking the Lord daily, in prayer, in worship, in communion with him, by studying your Bible yourself by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Do not follow any man or woman, but the Lord alone.

Take up your cross daily and follow the Lord wholeheartedly as he will teach you to walk in faith, love and obedience by the leading of his Holy Spirit and his Word. He is with you always!
